Update CreativeCore Mod by replacing the installed library with a compatible release for the same Minecraft version and loader. Back up your instance first, check the dependent mods and avoid keeping old and new library files together.
1. Record your current CreativeCore setup
Note the Minecraft game version, Forge/Fabric/NeoForge loader and CreativeCore filename in your mods folder. Keep a copy of the working library outside that folder in case you need to restore it.
2. Check the replacement CreativeCore version
Compare the new file's game version and loader with your current profile. Read the library range required by the installed mods. A newer CreativeCore number does not make a file for another Minecraft release suitable.
3. Back up your Minecraft instance
Close the game and copy the instance or use your launcher's backup option. Include worlds, configuration files and the mod list so the previous setup can be restored if the update changes compatibility.
4. Replace the old CreativeCore .jar
Remove the previous library from the active mods folder and copy in the matching replacement. Do not extract the file or install the source archive. Keep only the intended CreativeCore library in the instance.
5. Test the updated instance
Launch Minecraft before updating any other mods. If a dependency error appears, compare the required and installed versions. Restore the backed-up library if the new release is outside a dependent mod's supported range.
