To install CreativeCore Mod, download the library build matching your Minecraft version and loader, then place its .jar file in your active instance's mods folder. These steps apply to compatible Forge, Fabric and NeoForge installations.
1. Check your Minecraft version and loader
Open the launcher profile you intend to play. Note the Minecraft game version and whether the profile uses Forge, Fabric or NeoForge. CreativeCore is a library mod, so the matching mod loader must already be installed.
2. Download the matching CreativeCore Mod file
Use the CreativeCore Mod download section to compare the available builds. For example, the hosted Forge build targets Minecraft 1.20.1; it should not be installed in a Minecraft 1.21.1 Fabric instance. Check the dependency version requested by your other mod too.
3. Open the correct mods folder
Use your launcher's option to open the game or instance folder, then open mods. A standard Windows Minecraft installation often uses %appdata%\.minecraft\mods, but modpack launchers can keep each instance in a separate location. The active profile's folder is the one that matters.
4. Add the CreativeCore .jar
Copy the downloaded library .jar directly into mods. Do not extract it. Keep only one compatible CreativeCore release in that folder, alongside the mod that requires it. Source archives are for development and should not replace the library download.
5. Launch Minecraft and check dependencies
Start the same launcher profile. If a dependency error appears, compare its required CreativeCore version with the file you installed. For further help, follow the CreativeCore troubleshooting guide.
