Choosing a CreativeCore Mod version means matching three labels: the Minecraft game version, the mod loader and the CreativeCore library release. Treat these as separate compatibility requirements.

Minecraft version versus CreativeCore version

Minecraft 1.20.1 identifies a game release. CreativeCore 2.12.40 identifies a library release. A filename such as CreativeCore_FORGE_v2.12.40_mc1.20.1.jar includes both numbers and also identifies Forge as its loader.

CreativeCore for Minecraft 1.12.2 and 1.16.5

Older Minecraft instances require files published for those exact game versions. The modern builds hosted here are not replacements for a 1.12.2 or 1.16.5 library. Check a modpack's existing dependency requirements before changing an older installation.

How to compare CreativeCore 2.x releases

A number such as 2.12.14 or 2.12.36 describes the library release, not the Minecraft game version. Read the full filename and compatibility details before deciding whether a particular 2.x build belongs in your instance.

These are selected compatible builds, not a complete archive for every Minecraft version. Each file is available from the CreativeCore Mod download section.

Choose compatibility before a higher number

Use the release range required by the dependent mod. Before replacing the library, back up your instance and remove the old CreativeCore .jar so only the intended version remains.
