CreativeCore Mod Configuration and GUI API Explained

Explore CreativeCore Mod configuration and GUI API tools and what they mean for compatible Minecraft mods.

CreativeCore Mod Configuration and GUI API Explained Minecraft-style cover artwork

CreativeCore Mod includes a configuration system and GUI API that compatible Minecraft mods can reuse. These tools support settings and interfaces without requiring every mod developer to build the same foundation again.

CreativeCore configuration system

The configuration system helps dependent mods define and manage their options. The settings available to a player depend on the installed mod, its CreativeCore integration and the game-version build.

CreativeCore GUI API

The GUI API provides shared tools for mod interfaces. A compatible mod can use it for menus and controls. Installing CreativeCore alone does not guarantee that a particular settings screen or gameplay menu will appear.

Client and server configuration

Client options and server options can serve different purposes. When changing a setting, follow the instructions for the mod that owns it and the environment where it applies. A local client change may not control a server-managed feature.

Networking and shared developer tools

CreativeCore also includes packet and event systems, ingredient utilities and other shared functionality. These are developer tools; their visible effect depends on how another mod uses them.

Before changing CreativeCore-related settings

Back up the relevant configuration files and check the documentation for your installed mod release. If a setting disappears after an update, compare the mod and library versions rather than copying a configuration from an unrelated Minecraft build.

Match the library to your Minecraft instance

Use the correct Forge, Fabric or NeoForge CreativeCore file. The CreativeCore Mod downloads identify the supported game version and loader for each hosted release.
